On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, a 112-feet-tall statue of Adiyogi Mahashiva was unveiled at the Isha Foundation's Nandi Hills location in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka. The statue is a replica of the Adiyogi statue located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The Isha Foundation, which promotes Indian art, culture, and spiritual traditions, set up the statue at their Nandi Hills location. The event featured cultural programs, such as Bharathanatyam performed by Radhe Jaggi, daughter of Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, and Kerala's fire dance Theyam. The event was attended by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraju Bommai and other dignitaries.
