Hyderabad to Goa Indigo Airlines flight services started

According to airport officials, the IndiGo flight from Hyderabad touched down at 9 am at the new airport at Mopa in the North Goa district.

Beginning today, Goa's new domestic operations began at Manohar International Airport, formerly known as New Goa/Mopa Airport. PM Modi formally opened the airport in December 2022.

On January 5 at 9:00 AM, 6E 6145 from Hyderabad Airport was the first commercial flight to land at the airport. Eleven flights are planned for Thursday. Currently, flights to Mopa Airport have been announced by IndiGo, Go First, and Akasa Air, with Vistara reportedly considering operations as well.

The facility, which will be known officially as Manohar Parrikar International Airport (GOX) in honour of the late state Chief Minister and Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar, will enhance state connections and reduce traffic at Goa Dabolim Airport (GOI).
