On his first visit, Chief Justice of India (CJI) D Y Chandrachud offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara Swamy at the well-known hill shrine in Tirumala on Thursday. At the Sri Varaha Swamy temple, the CJI and members of his family also offered prayers. Prior to that, he was welcomed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman Y V Subba Reddy and Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal at the temple Mahadwaram. This was followed by the customary Istikaphal greeting amid the chanting of hymns and melam. He was escorted into the temple to receive Lord Venkateswara's darshan. The CJI was presented with "Vedasirvachanam" by Vedic Pundits at Ranganayakula Mandapam after receiving darshan from Venkateswara Swamy.
