During an event in Hosapete, Kannada star Darshan, who has been busy promoting his movie Kranti throughout Karnataka, was hit with a slipper. During actress Rachita Ram's speech, a miscreant who is supposedly a fan of Puneet Rajkumar hurled a slipper at Darshan. A slipper was reportedly thrown at Darshan as a result of his sexist comment about woman luck. The whole thing was documented on camera. Darshan responded calmly, "It is not your fault brother, no issue," in the face of the assault. He recently remarked in an interview with an entertainment website, "The Goddess of Luck doesn't always knock on your door. Grab her when she knocks"
