Tirupati: President Droupadi Murmu visited Tirumala on Monday and offered special prayers to the Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. President Murmu offered prayers in Swamy Pushkarini and later offered prayers at the Varahaswamy temple as per tradition. Tirumala Tirupati Devsathanam (TTD) chairman YV Subba Reddy, other officials and temple priests welcomed her as per the protocol. The temple priest explained about the importance of the Mula Virat, the jewels and the significance of the place to the President. Later, the TTD chairman presented Prasadams and a photo of Lord Venkateswara Swamy to the President. Union Minister Kishan Reddy and state Tourism Minister RK Roja accompanied her.
