India observes December 4 as Navy Day each year to recognise the contribution of the Indian Navy and honour its accomplishments during "Operation Trident" during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. The Indian Navy has shown India's military power and capacity through a "Operational Demonstration" at Visakhapatnam on Sunday as India welcomes in the "Amrit Kaal" and begins the festivities of 75 years of her independence ( December 4). The Country President, Droupadi Murmu, was present. She is accompanied by other dignitaries like Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, State Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan, and others.
