Warangal: Geeta Karmika created a tool to make climbing palm trees simple
26-11-2022 Sat 16:13
A man from the Warangal district has demonstrated that higher education is not necessary to design any kind of device. A palm oil extractor from Mummidivaram in the Sangam mandal, Bonagiri Ravi, has been drawing toddy to support himself. Ravi, 57, has been enduring health problems day by day. He saw that climbing a palm tree had become problematic for him and came up with a plan.
He set up a dummy for the palm tree and fitted it with two girdles using his prior skills as a part-time crane driver. With the aid of a rope, a chair was secured on one side, and the person added equal weight on the opposite side. He created a tool to climb a palm tree effortlessly. The people were grateful for Ravi's new discovery that had already begun to function.
