Malla Reddy, the Telangana Labor Minister, is currently being investigated by the Income Tax authorities after raids were carried out at his Hyderabad residence and workplace. The agency officers are also searching the homes connected to his son Mahender Reddy, son-in-law Marri Rajasekhar Reddy, and other individuals in the Hyderabad and Medchal Malkajgiri districts. According to allegations, the Malla Reddy administration is allegedly selling medical college seats to private individuals for a hefty sum rather than categorising them according to the convenor quota. The Mallareddy Medical Colleges' bank transactions have been examined by IT officials. The searches got underway early on Tuesday morning with the help of about 50 teams from the IT department's tax evasion unit. In response to claims of tax avoidance, they were examining the institutions run by the Malla Reddy Group's income records.
