A few minor accidents have been reported as the city hosts the Indian Racing League's testing runs for the Formula E race on Tank Bund. During the race, a tree branch struck one of the vehicles, preventing an accident. The incident happened on Saturday at Tankbund, close to Prasad's IMAX during the Indian Racing League trial run. In a video posted to social media, the branch is seen hitting with a race car that is moving quickly and briefly losing control. Another instance included a car that hit a side pillar, but fortunately the driver walked away unharmed. Later, a crane lifted the car. Another incident occurred during the qualifying round when a Goa-based car collided with another vehicle that had a woman driver from Chennai. The driver allegedly fractured her leg as a result of the injury to her leg, according to reports.
