Boat carrying school students capsizes in Brahmaputra river, Assam
Assam: In a horrifying incident, a boat carrying several students capsized in a stream of the Brahmaputra river and the students narrowly escaped from the jaws of death. The incident took place near Sutipar of the greater Juria in the Nagaon district.
According to the sources, the boat carrying the students to a riverine local school capsized in the mid of the river. The alerted locals who were working there rushed to the spot and rescued all the persons in the boat including the children. Some students were immediately shifted to the nearby hospital and are undergoing treatment. It is said that the overload is the reason behind the incident.
