The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), the state's ruling party, is introducing itself as Bharat Rashtra Samithi in the midst of a contentious campaign for the Munugode by-election (BRS). With a big victory here, the BRS hopes to spread the word that it can compete with the BJP and prevail.
A song has been released in support of K Chandra Sekhar Rao (KCR), the party president and the current chief minister of Munugode. The Telangana government's development initiatives and welfare programmes are highlighted in the song. The song included references to several initiatives and programmes introduced by KCR's administration, including Rythu Bandhu, Dalit Bandhu, free electricity for the agricultural sector, farm insurance, and others. The government vowed to improve the lives of everyone, particularly the underprivileged and marginalised, such as Dalits.
The song also emphasised Minister KTR's declaration that he would adopt Munugode after people support them in the election.
In addition, Komati Rajgopal Reddy, a candidate for the BJP who switched from the Congress to the BJP in exchange for the Rs 18,000 crore tender that the Union government floated to his mining company, and his elder brother Komatireddy Venkat Reddy were criticised in the song.
