Tirupati: Tension escalated at SV Puram Toll plaza after Tamil Nadu students of a private law college in Puttur allegedly attacked the toll staff with helmets after a dispute over toll fees. According to the sources, the students who were returning from Tirupati to Tamil Nadu indulged in a heavy fight with toll staff at Vadamalapeta after the staff requested the students to pay the toll as the Fastag payment failed. A heated argument took place after the staff asked them to give way for other vehicles in the queue. The students reportedly attacked the staff with helmets. After getting the information, the police rushed to the spot and warned the students. But, the students allegedly gave way to Tamil Nadu registered vehicles only and confronted the vehicles from AP. This triggered a massive fight between locals and the students. police registered a case and an investigation is underway.
