Rajahmundry: The roadway of the road-cum-railway bridge across the river Godavari in Rajamahendravaram will be closed for one from today i.e., on October 14 for emergency repair works. The district Collector K Madhavilatha said that the bridge will be closed for one week due to repairs and added that the trains will run as per the schedules. She said that the bridge will be closed for one week and the vehicular traffic between Rajahmundry and Kovvuru on the bridge will be diverted until the works are completed. It is said that the two-wheelers will be diverted towards Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage and the other transport vehicles will be diverted towards the fourth bridge in the city.
