Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, general secretary of the YSR Congress Party said in a democracy, they welcome the emergence of new parties. The addition of new parties can heighten competitiveness and boost efficiency, he said. The AP government advisor responded to Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao's (KCR) announcement of the formation of the new political national party BRS by saying that YSRCP is not in a position to think about these developments. He said their party focusses on the agenda of state people and expressed confidence that people have positive impact on the ruling party and hoped that they will support them. The senior leader of the YSRCP responded to Mega Star Chiranjeevi's words supporting Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan by saying that Chiranjeevi spoke to Pawan Kalyan like an older brother and that there was nothing wrong with him wishing his brother well.
