On Wednesday, YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy refuted untrue allegations that the Railway Board Chairman had rejected the railway zone with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters in Andhra Pradesh. The YSRCP MP emphasised to reporters in Visakhapatnam that the Central government would establish a railway zone there and that it was also specified in the AP Reorganisation Act. 'If not, I'm prepared to resign from my position in Rajya Sabha,' he declared. In support of his assertions, the Rajya Sabha member of the YSRCP cited the Railway Minister's assurance that the matter was nearing acceptance in a meeting of MPs. He asserted that in addition to YSRCP leaders, North Andhra leaders also put up a lot of resistance to get Visakha designated as a railway zone.
