The capital of the AP is the subject of intense debate. Sujana Chowdhary, a former BJP member of parliament, asserted that Amaravati would continue to be the only capital of Andhra Pradesh. The former Union Minister claimed that a bifurcation Act had been enacted on the state capital in accordance with the Indian constitution while speaking at an occasion.
