On Friday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has flayed at the opposition and its friendly media, alleging that they are unfairly criticising the state's financial management and asserted that the state's economy is not in danger. Despite COVID-19 and other difficulties, CM Jagan assured the Assembly, the state's economy was doing well better than that of many other states and even the national average. CM YS Jagan presented data on the state's economy and finances in a power point presentation to support his assertion that the current YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) administration has been functioning better than the outgoing TDP administration. To demonstrate that the financial management is sound, CM Jagan provided a graphic breakdown of comparable data on the GDP, and other metrics. Additionally, he criticised TDP Chief Chandrababu and his group for reportedly spreading false information about the state's economy.
