On September 16, 2022, while visiting the Vemulawada temple town to take part in the National Integration Day celebrations, Minister for IT and Municipal Administration K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) encountered an unexpected event. A young person jumped onto the stage and hurried to the front. He was apprehended by the police and the vigilant citizens, and he was reportedly in Vemulawada Police's custody. The person has been identified as Sai from Velgatoor Mandal, according to the preliminary findings. He was reportedly in an intoxicated condition. He wanted to request Minister KTR for approval of a two-bedroom house, it has been learnt. However, the Police are looking at the matter from other perspectives.
