A BJP leader's remark about the clashes that took place today in Kolkata during a BJP mass protest against Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool got a lot of attention on social media. Suvendu Adhikari, a leader in the BJP, received abuse from the Trinamool, his former party, for his remark to a female police officer attempting to manage the protesters. In a video that the Trinamool Congress posted on Twitter, Mr. Adhikari, the leader of the opposition in Bengal, can be heard screaming, "Don't touch my body. You are lady, I am male." He appeared to be speaking to the female officer who was attempting to transport him to the jail wagon.
