During a test run between Ahmedabad and Mumbai, India's semi-high-speed train, the 'Vande Bharat' express, surpassed the record of the bullet train. In just 52 seconds, the third Vande Bharat train reached a speed of 100 km/h. The train has finished its test run and received all necessary approvals to start operating for commercial purpose. On September 30, the train is likely to depart from Gujarat's Gandhinagar under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There will be more amenities for passenger comfort on the new train. It will include a three-hour battery backup, wifi-enabled content available when you want it, and 32-inch LCD TVs. All classes will now have access to side-reclining seats, sources said. According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Railways' goal is to start manufacturing Vande Bharat trains on a regular basis starting in October with the production of two to three trains each month, increasing to five to eight in the following months.
