The YSRCP government, which is led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and has so far kept many of its promises to the state's citizens, has chosen to begin implementing 'YSR Kalyanamasthu' and 'YSR Shaadi Tohfa' (a programme that provides financial aid for marriage) beginning October 1. The state government will provide financial aid to Muslims as well as SCs, STs, BCs, differently abled, and non-Muslim minorities under the 'YSR Kalyanamasthu' and the 'YSR Shaadi Tohfa' programmes. This measure has been made by the administration of the governing YSR Congress party in order to assist the poor families in properly marrying off their daughters.
