President Droupadi Murmu advocated for mother tongue education in schools on Monday, saying that it can help develop students' talents in the humanities and social sciences. These comments were delivered by Murmu during her speech at the National Teachers Awards ceremony on Monday at Vigyan Bhawan in the capital. To recognise the 46 chosen honorees' distinctive contributions to school education, Murmu gave them each one of the National Awards to Teachers, 2022. On September 5, Teachers' Day, the Ministry of Education (MoE) hosts a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan to present awards to the nation's top educators who have been chosen after a rigorous, open, and online three-stage selection process.
