According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Gautam Adani, the chairman of the business behemoth Adani Group, has surpassed Bernard Arnault of France to become the third-richest person in the world. With a total net worth of US$ 137.4 billion, the 60 years old Adani, has overcome Arnault, head of Louis Vuitton, and is now third in the list of richest people, just behind Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. Mukesh Ambani, the CEO of Reliance Industries, is ranked 11th in the most recent Bloomberg Billionaires Index with a total net worth of US$ 91.9 billion. It has never happened before for an Asian to be among the Bloomberg Billionaires Index's top three.
