The streets and corners of Hyderabad looked festive, just a few days before Ganesh Chaturthi, as the city prepared to welcome eco-friendly statues of the deity. For the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi in 2022, the Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee decided to create an eco-friendly Ganesha idol using clay and organic colours. According to a committee representative, this year's Ganesh idol will be 50 feet tall. A member of the Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee named Raju told TV9 that the enormous idol's preparation started on June 10 and was finished today with the assistance of 150 artists over the course of 80 days. He stated that the wooden planks encasing the statue would be taken down either this evening or by tomorrow morning. Lord Ganesha can be seen by devotees starting tomorrow after the morning session, according to Raju. He has mentioned the safety procedures to create the idol. Each devotee should bring a mask and hand sanitizer, according to Raju.
