The FIFA released a statement saying that 'the Bureau of the FIFA Council has agreed to withdraw the suspension that was imposed on the All India Football Federation (AIFF) owing to inappropriate third-party influence.' The decision was made after FIFA got notification that the committee of administrators' mandate, which had been established to take over the AIFF Executive Committee's authority, had been terminated and that the AIFF administration had reclaimed complete control over the organization's day-to-day operations. As a result, India will host the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 2022, which is slated to take place from October 11–30, 2022. FIFA stated that it, along with the AFC, would keep an eye on the issue and facilitate the AIFF in holding its polls on time. Anurag Thakur, the sports minister, referred to the ban's lifting as a success for the sport.
