The outgoing Chief Justice of India (CJI), NV Ramana, said at the farewell event hosted by the Delhi High Court Bar Association that his arduous path had taken him to Delhi. Ramana will retire on August 26 after reaching the age of retirement. The outgoing Chief Justice of India claimed that due to his lengthy journey, he had to deal with various encounters, more of which were unpleasant than pleasant. He claimed that, in addition to overseeing farmers, students, and workers, at the age of 17, he was the leader of a trade union with some 10,000 members. The departing CJI claimed, "I have appeared in so many agitations and fights." He claimed that facing situations head-on and finding solutions were nothing new for him. NV Ramana claimed that by observing common events, he discovered an extraordinary desire for helping people.
