It is well-known that Bandi Sanjay, the president of the BJP in Telangana, has been holding a public demonstration there for the past few months in a phased manner. The Karimnagar BJP MP was given notice by the Warangal Commissionerate Police because he was paying attention to the needs of the populace, while criticising the Telangana government on many fronts. The protest march should be stopped, according to the notice, and legal action will be taken if it is not. In Jangaon earlier today, police stopped Bandi Sanjay's padayatra (Foot March) amid a tense scenario that developed after BJP activists clashed with the police. Bandi Sanjay was detained as he called for statewide protests against the detention of party members a day earlier outside the residence of Kalvakuntla Kavitha, a lawmaker for the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
