Final rites of NTR’s daughter Uma Maheswari performed

Hyderabad, August 3: Final rites of Kantamaneni Uma Maheswari, youngest daughter of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) were performed at Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills here.

Uma Maheswari’s brother and Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, her brother-in-law and former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh, actor Kalyan Ram and other family members attended the funeral. Uma's husband Srinivas Prasad has lit the funeral pyre. Several prominent political, business, sports and film personalities have paid last respects to Uma Maheswari.
