One armed man was detained on Tuesday in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, after acting suspiciously in front of TRS Armoor MLA Jeevan Reddy's home. After his wife was demoted from the position of Sarpanch, Prasad Goud allegedly drew up a plan to remove the TRS MLA, according to TV9 media. A knife and a pistol made in home country were taken from him by the police. According to police sources, Goud harboured resentment toward the MLA for allegedly dismissing his wife from TRS. The incident is being looked into by the Banjara Hills police. Goud, who was purportedly preparing to exact revenge on the party for excluding his wife Lavanya, was being questioned by police. Police in Banjara Hills were investigating whether Goud had come close to the MLA's home with the aim to murder him.
