Hyderabad : Ambedkar Nagar basti dwellers protest against forced evacuation

Hyderabad: Tension escalated at Ambedkar Nagar, Jubilee Hills road no 45 after officials along with a heavy police force are forcibly evicting the basti dwellers and razed their houses on Friday morning. According to the sources, the officials reached the Ambedkar Basti on Friday morning along with heavy police to prevent any resistance.

A heated argument took place between the basti people and the police. People stated that they are living for 30 years and added that the local MLA assured them to stay in the locale. Residents are raising slogans against the police and staging protests before the MLA's residence.
