High Court hearing on AP capital petitions postponed to August 23
On Tuesday(July 12), the AP High Court has heard petitions filed against the three proposed capitals by the AP government . A three-judge panel heard the petitions and inquired into the status of the projects that have already been carried out in the Amaravati region. The government's advocate has provided a status report with thorough information in this regard.
The State High Court has specifically looked into two petitions for contempt of court alleging that decisions made by the court in the past are not being implemented. The government did not respond to the second petition but did respond to the first. The government was asked by the High Court to submit a response to this as well.
The Advocate General asked that the government make public the decision regarding the allocation of housing plots to the underprivileged in the capital. The decision will be made after taking everything into account, the court made clear.
The hearing was postponed until next month's 23rd (August)
