Hyderabad Flexi posters, banners compete ahead of Modi, Sinha visit to Hyderabad on July 2
Yashwant Sinha, a joint candidate for the opposition, is reportedly being invited by the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) to Hyderabad for the July 2 presidential election campaign.
It's interesting to note that the date falls on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the city for the BJP national executive meeting at HICC, Gachibowli.
Both the BJP and TRS cadre have built a lot of flexis in support of their leaders ahead of two significant political events. Despite the city-wide prohibitions against posters and flexi banners, large flexi posters are lined up at Parade Ground and other locations prior to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public gathering. The same is evident with Yashwanth Sinha, the presidential candidate for the opposition.
The TRS leadership has offered to host a grand reception for Sinha in the city, which will be attended by K.T. Rama Rao, the TRS working president and minister of information technology, as well as Cabinet ministers, TRS MLAs, and MPs. It is unclear if K. Chandrashekar Rao, the chief minister and president of the TRS, will attend this meeting.
