The footage of a purported army aspirant setting a train on fire has surfaced six days after the destruction and unrest at the Secunderabad railway station. In a video, Prithviraj, one of the accused in the Secunderabad railway station violence case, can be seen allegedly lighting a coach on fire. He was later arrested. On June 17, a number of Telangana army aspirants showed up at Hyderabad's Secunderabad Railway Station to demonstrate against the Agnipath programme of the Union government. The police used a lathi during the protest, and the students retaliated by throwing stones.
