It is learnt that every year people make a beeline to Kurnool district to test their luck. People from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bengaluru visit agricultural fields in Peravali, Jonnagiri, Tuggali, Pagigirai and Maddikera after the monsoon hits the Telugu states in search of diamonds and colour stones. According to the locals, people find colour stones in the several layers of the earth. Local merchants wait to get the diamonds for a lower price.
