One person was killed, 13 were injured, and one was gravely injured after Secunderabad police opened fire on protesters opposing the Agnipath proposal at the Secunderabad train station. Following enormous demonstrations, the soldiers have now cleared the railway station. Damodar, a Warangal native, died as a result of the injuries he got in the police shooting. Damodar was shot and taken to the hospital by police, but he was unable to be saved. On Friday, tensions over the Centre's Agnipath Army recruiting scheme reached Telangana's Hyderabad. Workers from the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) threw stones at trains at the Secunderabad railway station on Friday, June 17. Protesters also set fire to a train inside the railway station.
