He said how the script was read to him and approved after learning that Adivi Sesh will play Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Adivi Sesh, on the other hand, commented of his admiration for Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Major is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who died in the Mumbai terror attack in 2008.
