In response to a question, Mahesh Babu disclosed the reason for his decision to become a producer for Major. He said how the script was read to him and approved after learning that Adivi Sesh will play Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Adivi Sesh, on the other hand, commented of his admiration for Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.
