Hyderabad, May 19: An Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer accidently fell off the stage while reviewing security check at Shilpakala Vedika here on Wednesday evening. The incident took place when DSP Kumar Amresh taking photos on the stage as part of security measures ahead of Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s visit to Shilpakala Vedika for launch of a book on film lyricist and poet Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry on Friday. Immediately, he was rushed to a private hospital. He succumbed to head injuries while undergoing treatment. Venkaiah condoled the death of Amresh. He is survived by wife and two children.
