Video: Chinese airliner with 113 passengers veers off runway on take-off, catches fire

China, May 12: A plane veered off runway during take-off in the south western city of Chongqing on Thursday morning, causing fire, the Chinese media reported. The flight was carrying 113 passengers and nine crew members to Nyingchi from Chongqing. Some of the passengers were reportedly injured in the fire accident.

In the visuals, passengers were seen running towards airport from the runway. Soon after the mishap reported, authorities closed one of the runways of airport without citing the reason. The flight belongs to the Tibet Airlines. After clearing the jet, runway will be reopened, officials said and an investigation is ordered.
