On Monday, Industries and IT Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) inaugurated the Radiant Appliances and Electronics plant at E-City in Raviryala, saying the focus is on leveraging the segment to create employment opportunities for about 16 lakh people over the next ten years and revenues of over Rs 2.5 lakh crore in the electronic manufacturing segment. Telangana Minister KTR stated that this company is one of the major smart TV makers in the country, with more than half of its 3800 employees being women. He stated that it is a proud occasion for the radiant family as well as the people of Telangana because the company produces 4 lakh TV units every month. He stated that, in the opinion of firm management, their company advanced due to a favourable environment and consistent government assistance. Sabita Indra Reddy, the Telangana Education Minister, was also present at the event.
