In an unexpected turn of events, MS Dhoni has been reappointed as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). CSK has played eight games and won only two of them under Jadeja's leadership. CSK was second from bottom in the points standings, which frightened CSK fans greatly. Though Jadeja was not chastised for his leadership, he was under intense scrutiny because CSK was the most successful team in the IPL's 15-year history. In response to the pressure, Jadeja resigned as captain and informed the CSK franchise management. The judgement of Jadeja was accepted and acknowledged. And, in a surprise, CSK reappointed Dhoni as captain despite the fact that the squad lacked a significant player to rely on. It is well known that MS Dhoni stepped down as captain before the start of the Tata IPL 2022, and CSK club management named allrounder Ravindra Jadeja as the new leader.
