According to the Niti Aayog, Telangana emerged as one of the two states that demonstrated strong overall performance and the highest improvements on several health service metrics. The state is positioned near to Kerala and Tamil Nadu, which are traditionally regarded as healthcare powerhouses. Telangana has demonstrated an unprecedented development model to the country and the world in just seven years. Since 2018, the world's largest eye screening camp (free eye testing, vision testing, and free eyeware and surgery) has served 3.5 cores.
