A Japanese woman who was born at the turn of the twentieth century and was thought to be the world's oldest person died at the age of 119. She was named the oldest person alive in 2019 by Guinness World Records. Kane Tanaka, born on January 2, 1903 in the southwestern Fukuoka region of Japan, died on April 19th in the hospital of Fukuoka city, Western Japan. Tanaka was in good condition until recently and lived in a nursing home, where she liked board games, mathematical computations, soda, and chocolate. She had intended using a wheelchair to participate in the Tokyo Olympics torch relay in 2021, but the pandemic prohibited her from doing so.
