Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), who led a rally in Delhi on Monday asking that the Centre purchase the whole paddy harvest, has made an important decision in favour of farmers. Telangana Chief Minister KCR told reporters on Tuesday that the state government opted to buy it since the Centre refused to buy paddy from Telangana farmers during the current Rabi season. Taking a swipe at the Centre, CM KCR stated that his administration will make all arrangements to buy rice from farmers within three to four days by paying Rs 1,960 for each quintal of paddy and that the money will be instantly deposited to farmers' bank accounts. The Chief Minister criticised the Centre for refusing to buy paddy in Telangana and Union Food Minister Piyush Goyal for disrespecting the State administration.
