Three individuals were hurt in a stampede-like situation at the Tirumala shrine ticket counters in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, TTD PRO Ravi Kumar said today. According to estimates, around 10,000 pilgrims congregated at ticket offices in Tirumala, Tirupati, to purchase Sarvadarshan tickets, resulting in a stampede-like situation. As a result of these occurrences, the TTD authorities have temporarily stopped issuing Sarvadarshan tickets and have decided to suspend the VIP darshan for the next four days. TTD Chiarman YV Subba Reddy has dismissed rumours that a stampede-like situation has erupted as a result of the offering of VIP datshans to Ministers who were appointed yesterday. He stated that the throng was greater than expected as the sacred shrine reopened after a long period of covid pandemic.
