Despite their disagreements with Ukraine over the war, the United States and Russia are working together on the International Space Station. Today, Mark van de Haye, the American astronaut who spent a record 355 days aboard the space station, will land on the Russian Soyuz capsules. Anton Schaplerov, a Russian astronaut who had previously spent a year on the space station, returned alongside Pyotr-Dubrov. They will land in Kazakhstan in the spaceship they are travelling in. On the other hand, with the Ukraine conflict raging and the United States imposing harsh economic sanctions on Russia, it's becoming increasingly fascinating that astronauts from both countries are teaming up to land.
