Professor Kamakoti of IIT Madras Advocates Cow Urine as Medicine
IIT Madras Director, Professor V. Kamakoti, has described cow urine as a significant medicinal substance, claiming it has properties that can combat harmful bacteria in the human body. Speaking at a religious event in Chennai, Professor Kamakoti stated that consuming cow urine can help reduce fever. His remarks have since gained widespread attention on social media.

On January 15, during the Kanuma festival celebrations held at a cattle shelter in West Mambalam, Chennai, a puja ceremony was conducted. Professor Kamakoti attended the event and shared a personal anecdote involving his father. He recounted that his father had once consulted a monk when suffering from a fever. Instead of suggesting conventional medical treatment, the monk advised his father to drink cow urine. According to Kamakoti, his father consumed it and experienced relief from the fever within fifteen minutes.

Highlighting the medicinal properties of cow urine, Professor Kamakoti emphasized that it contains compounds capable of eliminating harmful bacteria in the body.
