Good News for Central Government Employees

The central government has announced a relaxation in the Leave Travel Concession (LTC) rules for its employees. Under the new guidelines, employees can now travel on premier trains like Vande Bharat, Tejas, and Humsafar Express under the LTC scheme. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued the orders on Thursday.

Earlier, the LTC scheme allowed travel only on superfast express trains such as Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Duronto. Premier trains like Vande Bharat were not included in the scheme.

The DoPT made this decision after reviewing suggestions and requests from various government organizations and employees. The updated rules aim to provide more convenience to employees.

Under the LTC scheme, central government employees can avail of paid leave and reimbursement for travel tickets.
