Traffic Issues Resolved for Travelers from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam in Vijayawada

Every year, during major festivals such as Sankranti and Dussehra, the city of Hyderabad sees a significant drop in population, as many residents travel to their hometowns. The road from Hyderabad to Vijayawada typically experiences severe traffic congestion during this period, causing difficulties for commuters. In previous years, vehicles coming from Hyderabad would create traffic jams in Vijayawada, with travel through the city often taking two to three hours.

This year, however, the traffic situation has improved significantly due to the opening of the Vijayawada West Bypass Road. Police have diverted vehicles heading towards Gannavaram, Eluru, Rajamahendravaram, and Visakhapatnam at Gollapudi West Bypass, preventing them from entering Vijayawada city. The bypass route rejoins the main road at Chinnavutapalli, reducing the travel distance by about 30 kilometers. Consequently, the traffic congestion issue has been largely resolved, making travel smoother and faster.
