Emergency Landing Mishap in Norway: KLM Plane Slides Off Runway
The pilots decided to divert the aircraft to Sandefjord Torp Airport, located 110 kilometers from Oslo, for an emergency landing. Although the plane landed safely, it skidded off the runway shortly thereafter and came to a halt in a grassy area adjacent to the runway.
The flight carried 182 individuals, including passengers and crew, at the time of the incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Passengers were promptly evacuated using mobile stairs, and authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.
This aviation scare adds to a growing list of accidents this month. On December 25, a plane traveling from Baku, Azerbaijan, to Grozny, located on the western coast of the Caspian Sea, crashed, resulting in 38 fatalities.
