Ensure Congress Victory in Malkajgiri No Matter Who Gets the Seat": Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao
In the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao called upon party leaders and cadre to once again hoist the Congress flag in Malkajgiri. He reminded them of the significant victory achieved by Revanth Reddy from the Malkajgiri seat in the previous elections and stressed the importance of securing a win regardless of who is given the party ticket. This statement was made during a meeting of the Uppal Assembly constituency level workers, chaired by Congress leader Mundumula Parameshwar Reddy on Monday, with Minister Thummala as the chief guest. The meeting was attended by district Congress president Harivardhan Reddy, corporators, and party workers.
Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao assured that the promises made during the elections would be fulfilled under any circumstances. He highlighted the implementation of six guarantees despite facing challenges and losses, and mentioned the prompt payment of salaries to state employees on the 1st of every month as part of efficient governance. He also spoke about efforts towards the beautification of the Musi river.
The minister announced that nominated positions would soon be allocated to those actively working for the party. He expressed confidence that despite the conspiracies by BJP and BRS, the Congress party would secure 15-16 Lok Sabha seats in the state. He predicted the disappearance of the BRS party in the state following the Lok Sabha elections and criticized the BRS for damaging the state's systems and institutions over nine and a half years. He also mentioned that the BJP lacks a strong cadre base in the state.
